
Art Arriola is a versatile musician proficient in trumpet, trombone, French horn, and cornet. He holds certificates in Entrepreneurship and Music Industry Entrepreneurship, specializing in music copyright and publishing contracts, and has formal training in audio recording and music production. He earned an AA in Liberal Arts and an AAT in Communication Studies.
Art has received notable recognition, including a nomination for Best Trombone Soloist at the Reno Jazz Festival and a Best Local Band award in Oakland, CA with the Latin band Alma Latina, led by David Rangel (aka The Mambo King). He has shared the stage with respected artists such as Coke Escovedo, Pete and Juan Escovedo, Jorge Santana, and others.
His studio work includes Seven Gospel Classics in Jazz, featuring Kenny Trujillo and Abel Garcia on drums, Art Lopez on bass, and David Meintasis on piano. Art was the founder and music director of Rick Stevens & Love Power, formed in collaboration with the late Rick Stevens, original vocalist of Tower of Power, marking a significant chapter in his career.
He serves as Founder and CEO of Art Music and Promotion, providing artists with recording, duplication, and promotional services. For live performances, Art Arriola & Friends offers customized shows.
Art is collaborating in the studio with Ronald Enos on an upcoming motion picture soundtrack. While the project title has not yet been publicly released, it features newly licensed interpretations drawn from the Marvin Gaye catalog, with all required mechanical licensing in place. The project represents a rare opportunity to reinterpret iconic material within a contemporary cinematic context.
